Hello Family and Friends,
Instead of doing a gift registry (Lowe's and Home Depot do not have one) I created this blog instead. Nathan and I have been living together for a few years now and already have many of the day to day household items. I wanted to be able to show you some of the areas that we would love to improve in our new house. Aside from needing a new roof within the next year or two; we have a few inside ideas that, over time, we hope to accomplish. There's nothing better then turning a house into a home that we are proud of and will eventually raise a family in. I hope this gives you a better idea of what a Lowe's or Home Depot gift card can go toward.

On the left side of this picture is a plain wall in our living room. We completed one wall to show what we would love to continue throughout the rest of the room. The crown molding, chair rail and base board are white and the top color is a shade of green. The bottom was completed with wainscoting and has a tan color. Nathan did an outstanding job putting it all up and I supervised and helped paint :0)
This is our fireplace. As you can see we will eventually hang our t.v above it. Before we do that, we would love to reface our fireplace with flagstone going all the way up to the ceiling. We also want to change out the mantel with a new one that extends out farther. We already have a wood burning stove that is ready for installation thanks to some friends.
We ....I mean Nathan put up this temporary light fixture because when we moved in there were only wires hanging down. We would really like to have chandelier lighting since it would be above our dining table.
In this picture you can see the discolored areas and a few cracks. The paint had cracked and started peeling up near the ceiling and around some of the door frames. It needed to be chipped off and sanded and now it's waiting for a fresh coat of paint.
As you can see there are many projects we would love to do including more I did not post. Thank you again for viewing our "registry".
